MLK Jr. Day: Serving Humanity Through Chiropractic (We’re Open Today, Monday)
Dear Practice Member and Friend,
This Monday, we pause as a nation to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., a man whose life reminds us that service, courage, and compassion are not just ideals… they are daily actions.
Dr. King once said,
“Everybody can be great, because everybody can serve.”
That single sentence captures the heart of chiropractic.
From its very beginning, chiropractic has stood for something radical and deeply human: the belief that the body has an innate intelligence, a God-given ability to heal, adapt, and thrive when interference is removed. That idea was revolutionary then… and it still is today.
Dr. King challenged a world that had accepted limitation as normal.
Chiropractic challenges a healthcare system that too often settles for managing symptoms instead of restoring function.
Both movements ask the same powerful question:
What if people are capable of more than we’ve been told?
Dr. King also reminded us,
“The time is always right to do what is right.”
For us, doing what is right means showing up consistently to serve your nervous system, your spine, and your long-term quality of life. It means educating, empowering, and guiding people toward health freedom, not dependency. It means helping families build bodies that are strong, resilient, and adaptable for decades to come.
That’s why we will be OPEN for normal business hours this Monday, MLK Jr. Day.
Not because we don’t honor the day —
but because we do.
Health is not something you put on pause.
Healing does not take holidays.
And service to humanity doesn’t clock out.
Dr.
King famously said,
“Life’s most persistent and urgent question is: What are you doing for others?”
On Monday, our answer is simple:
We are serving.
- We are serving the mom who wants more energy for her family.
- We are serving the professional who refuses to accept pain as “just part of aging.”
- We are serving the athlete, the senior, the child, and the newborn whose nervous system deserves to function at its highest level.
Chiropractic is not just about pain relief.
- It’s about potential.
- It’s about freedom.
- It’s about
creating a future where people are stronger, healthier, and more capable physically, mentally, and emotionally.
Dr. King believed deeply in the power of small, consistent actions to create massive change. Chiropractic works the same way. One adjustment. One nervous system. One life at a time.
If you’re scheduled this Monday, we look forward to seeing you.
If you’re not, consider whether your future self would thank you for taking a step toward better health now.
Let us continue honoring Dr. King not only with words…
but with action, service, and a commitment to becoming better humans.
With gratitude and purpose,
Drs. Handt & Team
